Constance R. "Cassola" Akelian

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, our beloved Constance R. (Cassola) Akelian passed away peacefully in her home in Lynn MA. Her Lynn home has been a cherished place where her late husband Michael S. Akelian, their sons, and loved ones have collectedly shared endless happy memories over the past fifty plus years.

Born and raised in Beverly MA, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Eleanor (Noyes) Cassola, Connie grew up an avid swimmer, and basketball player. Connie was a passionate and fiery individual who enjoyed many hands of Texas Hold Em' and was an enthusiastic bingo player. She was competitive, witty, and adventurous. Connie was driven, and later worked as a machine shop engraver at Walbar in Peabody MA, as well as at CP Clare in Danvers MA.

Connie and Michael, happily married for over fifty years, spent most of their time in Lynn, hosting parties, dinners, friends, and family often. If they were not at their homestead, they were on the road--traveling in their motorhome. They enjoyed many summers in Old Orchard Beach (Maine). Each year, before the cold would settle and the snow would come, Connie and Michael would pack up their RV and head south to Florida. There they found themselves surrounded again with family and friends, and they continued this tradition--of chasing the sunshine--every single year. Connie was the light of every gathering and her spirit, cooking, stories, and love filled everyone's hearts to the brim

Connie is survived by her two sons, Michael and Peter; her grandson, Mike, his fiancée Meghan and her son Robert; her former daughter-in-law, Melissa and Melissa's two daughters Kassandra and Gabby; her brother, Ken "Butch"; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Albert "Biz"; and Norm; and her sisters, Mary "Pixie"; and Trudy.
