Constance P. "Connie" Thacker Maxey, 79, of Patoka passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Princeton June 23, 1946 to James Arthur and Mary Violet (Cox) Thacker.

Connie lived in Patoka and Princeton all of her life. She graduated from Princeton High School 1964 and worked as a secretary for Price Well Service for over 20 years. Connie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was the recipient of the Simon Brute Award for her service to the St. Joseph Church. She was honored to be a part of the St. Joseph bereavement committee. Connie was also a past member of the Lady Elks and Princeton Country Club where she was a past Ladies golf club champion. She was also a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Connie will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that was always there for her family. She was passionate about going to her children and grandchildren's school and sporting events. Connie was their greatest fan! She enjoyed spending time with Joe's family going out to eat and decorating her home, especially Christmas time! She and Joe were sprint car racing fans. They traveled to several race tracks because she loved to watch her favorite driver, Tim Engler. race.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Kay Koberstein and sons-in-law, Brian St. Clair and Tim Koberstein.

Connie is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Joseph R. Maxey; children, Lisa St. Clair of Princeton, Tracy (Shane) Hope of Vincennes, Julie Koberstein of Princeton, and Jennifer Maxey of LaVergne, TN; grandchildren, Tucker St. Clair, Ambree (Josh) Miller, Violet St. Clair, Gage Hope, Kristen (Michael) Singleton, Alyssa Koberstein (Joey Vettiankal), and Jonathan (Heather) Cease; great-grandchildren, Julia Singleton, Asher Miller, and Mercy Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am Saturday, December 27, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Bernie Etienne and Fr. Gary Kaiser as co-celebrants. Burial will follow in Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and Saturday 9:30 am until 10:30 am followed by procession to the church for mass.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church Bereavement Committee and St. Joseph Cemetery fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
