Constance Ann Riggs

Constance Ann Riggs (Lariviere) of Norwich, CT peacefully passed on December 25, 2025, at the age of 74, in her hometown of Norwich. Born on March 21, 1951, the youngest of three siblings Barbara Meyer of Norwich, CT and Mary Duff of Georgia. Connie attended Southern Connecticut State University majoring in Education with a focus on Special Education. She then went on to obtain her Master's Degree in Education from Southern Connecticut State University. Connie was a Special Education instructor at Mahan Elementary School in Norwich, where she dedicated her life to her students. Connie embodied the best qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit and unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family, friends and students.
A lifelong resident of Norwich, Connie was preceded in her death by her mother Constance Lariviere and father Wilfred Lariviere. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Charles Riggs of Norwich and her two children Jason Riggs in Santa Rosa, CA and Drew Riggs in Uncasville, CT. Connie was also a proud grandparent of Benjamin Riggs in Santa Rosa, CA.
Family was the most important aspect of Connie's life. She was a selfless wife, mother and grandmother always putting the needs of family above her own.
Funeral services will be held at Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 141 Central Avenue in Norwich, CT on Sunday, January 4th from 1-3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Judes as it was a cause close to Connie's heart.
