Mount Vision

Constance G. Tilley, 94, of Mount Vision, New York, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, in Cooperstown.

Born on October 19, 1930, in South Orange, New Jersey, Constance was the daughter of the late William and Sophie (Nusch) Grosslinger. She spent her life caring deeply for others, both at home and in her work. As a dedicated teacher's aide, she made a lasting impact on countless young lives, offering guidance, patience, and encouragement.

Constance was a member of the Laurens Eastern Star and the Mt. Vision Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Her vibrant spirit shone through in everything she did-she was an avid reader who rarely missed a crossword puzzle, and had a lifelong love of crafting, knitting, and needlepoint.

She is survived by her children: Deborah (Henry) Green, Paula (Robert) Robinson, Robert W. Tilley, and Jeffery (Laurie) Tilley; her sister-in-law, Solveig Grosslinger, and her niece, Tina Grosslinger. She was a grandmother to Kimberly Wilkerson, Megan (Juddy) Lindberg, Natalie Smith, Jesse (Ava) Tilley, and Shalyn Tilley, and a great-grandmother to Breana Lopez, Lillian Izzy Lindberg, and Weston Lindberg.

Constance was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, and her brother, Willy O. Grosslinger.

She will be remembered for her determined strength, her handmade gifts, and the kindness she extended to all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many people whose lives she touched.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday July 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Mount Vision Cemetery.

Constance's family has entrusted her care to Edd Stanimer of the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris. For online condolences visit www.JohnstonFH.com.
