Cora Lee Ingebretson, daughter of Bret Ingebretson and Sarah Vrchota, was born on February 19, 2022, at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood, Minnesota. Cora was baptized on August 21, 2022 by Rev. Bryan Taffe at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lowry. Cora had striking blue eyes, curly blond hair and a smile that could light up any room. She loved to sleep and nap, and was sleeping through the night at just four months!
Cora was a little lady with a big personality; already she was showing signs of her determination. Cora knew what she wanted and what she didn't like – especially her hands being touched – she would often tuck her little hands behind her back to hide them. She frequently made the sweetest 'nose crunched' face, had a little laugh, along with an obvious fake one, and lived up to her first Halloween costume as a monster by making monster noises, even long after Halloween!
Cora loved spending time with her family, she loved books, especially Llama, Llama, Red Pajamas, her babies and stuffed animals, eating – all day if she could, some of her favorites were: pancakes, raspberries, French fries and pickles. Cora also loved her animals, the family dog, Wiley and horse, Pokey. Not quite old enough to ride, she sat on Pokey with her parents' help while she wore her pink cowboy boots.
She was such a happy baby, hardly crying unless she was hungry or tired. To say that Cora relished over bath time was an understatement. She used this time to play with her rubber duckies, jam to music and splash her Mom and Dad, and it seemed like she tried to see how much water she could get out of the tub! Cora was also the coolest little one on Lake Minnewaska in her floaty wearing her stylish little sunglasses.
Cora was happiest with her Mama and Dada, she brought so much joy and laughter to others in her short time here on earth. She was a precious gift from God, only lent to us for a little while, her time on earth may have been short, but she reminds all to play and love big!
Cora passed away peacefully in her Mama and Dada's arms at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis on Sunday, April 23, 2023.
