Cordelia “Dee” Hook, 80, of Easley, wife of the late Dial C. Hook, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025.
Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Reverend James and Blanche Ashley. Dee graduated from Easley High School in 1963 and attended Furman University. Throughout her career, she served as Administrator and Marketing Director of several senior living facilities, later retiring after 8 years of dedicated service from The Crossings at Columbia Assisted Living. She was a faithful member of Covenant Church.
Dee loved her family deeply and was always proud of them. She was very active in senior communities throughout the state and devoted herself to serving others. She enjoyed family vacations to the beach and mountains, and fondly remembered her time spent at Table Rock when the kids were young. Playing games with family was a favorite pastime, and her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as a devoted church member.
She is survived by her son, Reverend Darren C. Hook (LeeAnn) of Easley; daughter, Denise Mobley (John) of Columbia; sister, Ruth Jeanette Walker of West Virginia; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two dear friends, Nancy Hennessee and Grady Lou Bishop.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Ashley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Covenant Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Covenant Church, 1310 Old Spartanburg Road, Greer, SC 29650.
