Corinne Lorio Bassemier

Corinne Lorio Bassemier passed peacefully, with her husband at her side, on January 13, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born on August 17, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Leander Anthony Lorio and Corinne Comes Lorio, both of whom predeceased her. She was a resident of Metairie, Louisiana, for 42 years and of Slidell, Louisiana, for the last 12 years. She graduated from St. Joseph High School and worked as a bookkeeper for Vetter Lumbar for 55 years.
Corinne leaves behind to cherish her memory, her soulmate and husband of 59 years, Frederick John Bassemeier, loving brothers Leander Lorio, Harry Lorio, and George Lorio, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, on Monday, January 27, 2025, starting at 10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM. The burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
