Cornelius E. Owens Jr.

Cornelius E. Owens Jr., 61, of Lynn, MA, passed away on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, at Salem Hospital in Salem, MA.
He was born in Haverhill, MA, on February 9th, 1962, the son of Cornelius E. Owens Sr. and the late Barbara L. (Broadnax) Owens.
Cornelius was a 1980 graduate of Timberlane High School in Plaistow, NH. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and spent his early service years stationed in Korea. He went on to earn his associate's degree from Northern Essex Community College. He would later work for many years as a Production Manager for Fulfillment America.
He carried with him an instilled sense of duty and responsibility, which he used to ensure that his family kept strong connections in all circumstances. He enjoyed being an avid competitor in local dart leagues, where he won many awards for his efforts. He shared in his father's love of fishing and relished spending time with loved ones.
Cornelius is survived by his father, Cornelius E. Owens Sr. of Raleigh NC, his loving wife, Olga (Moya) Owens of Lynn MA, his children, Tasha Owens and her partner, Nelson Santiago of Sunrise FL, Cornelius E. Owens III and his wife Indhira Owens of Lawrence MA, Derek Owens of Wellesley MA, Emmanuel Owens of Lynn MA, Andrea Moya of Everett MA, and Cesar Moya of Cambridge MA, his sisters Pamela (Owens) Brown and her husband Peter Brown of Haverhill MA and Irene Owens of Raleigh NC. He was the loving grandfather to Javen Salcedo, Julius Owens, and Ajayze Delacruz. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Cornelius was preceded in death by his Mother, Barbara L. Owens, and nephew, Darren Tyler.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his graveside service at 12:45 pm on Wednesday, December 27th, 2023, at the Elmwood Cemetery, 96 Salem St., Bradford, MA. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Bradford~Haverhill.
