Obituary
Brinkhaven - Cory Earl McCombs "Bob",31, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023. He was born on May 5, 1992 to Tracy and Betsy (Crawford) McCombs.
Cory was loved by everyone he met. He was always willing to help anyone in need, and had a knack for fixing things. He enjoyed mushroom hunting with his dad, and fishing whenever he had the chance. Cory spent most of his free time with his Uncle Eric, whom was like a second dad to him. He never went anywhere without a Mt. Dew or two, whether he was hunting or fishing he had at least one. Uncle Cor Cor loved to spend time and spoil his nephews Cooper, Weslee, and Mavryk.
He is survived by his mother Betsy (Crawford) and father Tracy; his sister, Katelyn McCombs; brother Cody McCombs; nephews, Cooper, Weslee, Mavryk, Corbin, Cohen and Jude, and niece Jemma; his grandparents Linda (Hawkins) and Lewis Crawford, and Mary McCombs. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Earl McCombs, his step grandfather Frank, and his maternal and paternal great grandparents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Dave Jones will be officiating. Burial will follow in Wolf Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Stillwell. Calling hours will be from 5-8:00 Friday evening.
