Craig Stephen Grinsteiner, of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully amongst family on April 15, 2022.
Born June 6, 1954, he was raised in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin by loving parents, Joseph and Mary Grinsteiner, along with his five siblings – Gloria, Beverly, Gary, Donna and Mary Jo.
He was a graduate of Wauwatosa West High School in 1972 and went on to receive his Master of Engineering from UW-Milwaukee, leading to business ownership and a fulfilling career as a mechanical engineer.In 1982, he married Susan Politowski, and together they welcomed a daughter, Sarah, and son, Brent. His family was everything to him, further evidenced when becoming a "bumpa" (grandfather) in 2011.Craig had a deep love for the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where he spent much of his free time fishing, boating and enjoying the beauty and serenity of the outdoors.
Craig is survived by his mother, Mary Grinsteiner; mother-in-law, Patricia Politowski; his wife, Susan Grinsteiner; his children, Sarah Keller and Brent Grinsteiner; three grandchildren, Ethan, Hudson and Finley Keller; sisters Gloria Van Aacken, Donna Zilavy and Mary Jo Netzer; and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Thursday, April 21, 2022, 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., with a brief remembrance ceremony beginning at 6:30 P.M. A private family service and burial will take place on Friday, April 22.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sunshine for Humanity Inc. or Vilas Food Pantry, to help support those in need in the Northwoods, the place he loved the most.

I´m so sad to hear of Craig´s passing. He was a good neighbor for many years in New Berlin. We had the fun of seeing him last summer in Eagle River and saw how much he loved it there. Our hearts are with you, Sue, Sarah and Brent.
