Craig Clifford Gust, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2023 at the age of 67 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Craig married Lisa in 1991, they had 2 children: Cassie and Melissa. In 1994, they moved to Saint Michael. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Craig. He loved a quiet evening outdoors with a beer in hand. He also had an uncanny ability to retain every music fact he'd ever heard.
As a father, Craig was a constant source of support and love to his daughters and grandson. He instilled in them the importance of "using your head" and perseverance. He took great pride in watching his girls grow into strong individuals who embodied these values.
Craig is survived by his wife: Lisa Gust; Daughters: Cassie (Jack) Sullivan and Melissa Gust (Dan Johnson); Grandson: Archer Sullivan; Sister: Vicky (Wes) Zeeb. Further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and other family.
Preceded in death by his parents: Clifford and Verna Gust; in-laws: Fred and Melva Roepke; sister and brother-in-law: Marcia and Larry Huber.
Those who knew Craig know he hated being fussed over. In lieu of funeral services, an intimate celebration of life will be organized at a later date for close family and friends.
