Craig Matthew Henriksen, 65, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 28th, 2024. A fighter until the end, he courageously battled cancer for the better part of 3 years.
Craig was born September 15th,1958 to his parents, Nils & Anna Henriksen. The youngest of his family, he is survived by his three brothers, Alan, Kenneth, and Neil Henriksen. His father being in sales, he and his family moved many times during his childhood, but he especially loved the time his family spent living in Scituate, MA, as a youth. His family eventually landed in Old Saybrook, CT, where his parents stayed throughout the rest of their lives. Craig went to York College of Pennsylvania for his Bachelors in Business and afterwards, met the love of his life, Mary, in Hartford, Connecticut. He later got his MBA at the University of Massachusetts and pursued a successful career in sales. Unafraid to mix things up, Craig later purchased a home inspection franchise, and became a home inspector until his retirement.
Craig was a devoted husband to his wife, Mary, a dedicated father to his two daughters, Kaitlin and Emily, and a loving grandfather to his grandson, Oliver. Craig loved nothing more than spending time with his family and making memories together.
Craig's funeral will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Parish- St. Mary's Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte. 139, Hanover, on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at 10:00 am with a reception at the church to follow.
In lieu of flowers, Craig's family requests that donations be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in his name to support cancer research and patient care. Gifts may be shared at:
