It is with great sadness that we inform you about the death of Crystal Gardner Hoffman. We are filled with grief at the passing of such a beautiful soul. Services of Remembrance will be 3:30 Tuesday at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home and Crematory. Pastor Danny Holley will officiate. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:30-3:30pm at Norton Funeral Home.
Crystal, born in Darlington SC on May 13, 1978 to Jack and Jean Brown was one of three children. Crystal attended Hartsville High School. After taking a break to raise her family and work on her career; she went back to school and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology graduating Summa Cum Laude from Coker College.
She worked for Mutual Savings Bank for over 20 years in various positions culminating in her last role as President. She prided herself on building long lasting relationships and friendships within both her professional and personal life. Crystal was heavily involved in community improvement projects and volunteer work. She was an advocate for women, children and hometown small businesses. Her good humor was contagious and her beautiful smile lit up any room.
Crystal is preceded in death by her father, Jack Brown and her brother, Jason Brown. She is survived by her husband James Hoffman; son, Dalton (Caroline, expecting granddaughter Lainey Marie); step daughter, Kenzy Hoffman; mother, Jean (Murray) Griggs, sister, Hope (Mike) Paradee; niece Savanna Grace and loving dog, Stella.
Norton Funeral Home and Crematory are honored to be of service to the Hoffman family.
