**********************

Crystal Michelle Keene, age 42, of Pelahatchie, Mississippi, entered into the arms of Jesus on November 10, 2025. She was born on May 12, 1983, at Hinds General Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Crystal received her Associate of Arts degree from Hinds Community College.

Crystal devoted her life to caring for others, especially children. She worked in the Special Education Department at Rouse Elementary School, where she was known for her compassion, patience, and joyful spirit. Her love for children also led her to work in childcare throughout her life, touching countless hearts with her kindness and warmth.

A woman of deep faith, Crystal was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon, Mississippi, and cherished the strong Christian foundation she gained growing up at Thornhill Baptist Church in Pelahatchie. Her love for the Lord guided every part of her life. She especially enjoyed participating in mission trips and sharing the message of Jesus’ love around the world. Crystal had the privilege of serving in Egypt and Botswana, where she shared her faith, friendship, and the hope that Jesus had given her—a hope that made her life full of purpose and joy.

Crystal was known for her creativity and caring heart. She loved arts and crafts, shopping, and spending time with her family, whom she loved deeply and spoke of often. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering love for others will be remembered by all who knew her.

Crystal was preceded in death by her grandfathers, W.A. Keene, Sr. and Eugene “Bo” Burnham, and her stepfather, Jack Jordan.

She is survived by her mother, Pattie Jordan; father, Jimmy Keene (Rebecca Keene); grandmothers, Maeola Burnham and Julia Keene; and her siblings Christopher “Hunter” Keene (Mazie Keene), Travis Jordan (Amanda Jordan), Lance Frank, Charles Medders (Shannon Medders), and Lisa Frank. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, all of whom she loved dearly.

Crystal’s life was a shining example of love, service, and faith. She lived each day with a joyful heart, sharing the light of Jesus wherever she went. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.

Pallbearers will be Terry Burnham, Charlie Joe Medders, Bryson Gilbert, Travis Jordan, Albert Stevens, David White, Mel Hazelwood and Preston Hillensbeck.
