Crystal Kewer, 91, of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Freedom Village surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry C. Kewer.
Born in Bryn Mawr, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Clara Watratz Karaolis.
Crystal grew up and lived in Ardmore and went to Lower Merion High School. She was a mother and a caregiver first and foremost. When she wasn't taking care of family, she was cooking, baking, or gardening. She was also the Coffee Lady at the Wawa on Boot Road in Downingtown, where she loved to talk to people and get to know them, and they shared their life stories with her.
Crystal is survived by four children, Michael Kewer (Sharon), Lori Koser (John), Suzy Fenimore (Brian) and Trish Farley (Jason). She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Leslie, Michael, Carolyn, Emily, Ian, Kelsey, Jackson and Alexandra and by eighteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Crystal was predeceased by her daughter, Crystal Kewer, her brother, Tony Karaolis, his wife Dee and by her sister, Ann Bednar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown PA. Family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
