Crystal Rae Moon

Crystal Rae Moon, 62, of Beaver, Ohio passed Friday, June 20, 2025, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born January 26, 1963, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of the late Henry Ray Moon, and Donna Sue (Stafford) Moon.
She is survived by grandson, Remington Ray; and three bonus grandchildren Bailey, Aubri, and Hunter; but known as Nana to all. She is also survived by two sisters, Carrie (Al) Diedrick, and Robin Moon; a special cousin, Chad (Crystal) Moon; three nieces, Casey (Shawna) Edmonds, Leah Diedrick; and Dannah Diedrick; and many other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Chelsie Barnett.
Crystal was employed with the Department of Children and Youth Services as a Business Analyst.
Crystal had many loves in her life, most of all her family. She always made a point to create memories for her grandchildren, and ensured the family spent quality time together. You could typically find her behind the camera to document family get-togethers, even if we complained. Crystal had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and joke. She enjoyed taking long car rides and jamming out to her music. Crystal had a big heart and enjoyed helping anyone who needed it. She had opened her home and heart to many. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with David Thornsberry and Jeanie Balzer officiating. Burial will follow at Beaver Union Cemetery, Beaver, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Funeral Home.
