Cynthia Kay Jones, 68, passed away on Friday, July 19th, 2024. Cindy was born on July 7, 1956, in OKC, OK. She graduated from Midwest City High School in 1974. Cindy started her long banking career of 48 years right after graduating. She was first with Tinker Federal Credit Union then moved to BancFirst, where she retired in April of 2024 as Vice President.
Cindy married her best friend, Don Edwin Jones on December 21, 1985. They enjoyed a long, loving marriage of almost 40 years with 2 children: Chris Jones and Erin Griffith.
Cindy was an avid hockey lover and even served as the President of the OKC Hockey Booster Club for many years. She made many friendships from the rink and through work that last to this day. Cindy and Don enjoyed camping with friends and family. The family usually had an annual camping trip each summer. Destinations were always different and something "memorable" always happened giving them plenty to laugh about and great memories were created.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Gene and Martha Jane Stewart, sister, Susan Stewart, and husband, Don Jones. She is survived by step-son, Christopher Jones and Michelle, step-daughter, Erin Griffith and Daniel, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brother, Russell Stewart and Robin, brother Robert Stewart and wife Cynthia Stewart, niece, Mackenzie Stewart, and nephew, Brandon Stewart. Cindy held family, friends and co-workers close and treasured them all!!
