Cynthia Brown Vickers, 72, of Ludlow, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ludlow, MA., on January 7, 1953, the daughter of the late John and Beverly (Crawford) Brown. Cynthia was a graduate of Springfield Commerce High School. She went on to dedicate many years of her career as a bookkeeper at Boilard Lumber in Indian Orchard, where she was known for her precision, dedication, and warm spirit. Cynthia's greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her four beloved children: Karen Gay and her husband Michael of Agawam; Scott Gingras and his wife Ann Marie of Plymouth, Connecticut; Eric Vickers of Ludlow; and Lyndsay Vickers and her wife Mandy of Monson. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Michael, Johnathan, Jenna, Tyler, Dylan, Kayleigh, Joshua, and Emile - each of whom brought light and laughter into her life. Cynthia is also survived by her loving siblings: her brother John Brown and his wife Marie of Agawam; and her sisters Peggy Fern of North Carolina, Robyn Gaj and her husband Peter of Granby, MA, and Lori Duncan and her husband Thomas of Somers, Connecticut. A graveside service to celebrate Cynthia's life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 12 noon in Oak Grove Cemetery, located on Bay Street in Springfield. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield. Cynthia will be remembered for her quiet strength, her unwavering love for her family, and the gentle kindness she shared with all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
