Dale Edward Teschendorf, 73, of Vassar, Michigan, passed away on February 1, 2025. He was born on February 20, 1951, in Bad Axe, Michigan, to Ward and Maxine (Witherspoon) Teschendorf.

Dale graduated from Vassar High School in 1969 and earned an Associate in Applied Science degree from Ferris State College in 1971. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1975, stationed in Heidelberg, Germany, and achieving the rank of Specialist 5. After his military service, Dale worked as a truck driver for Super Foods Services, later Nash Finch Company, until his retirement. 

Dale is survived by his children, Michael St. John, Scott (Betheen) Teschendorf, and Cindy (Scott) Briggs; his grandchildren, Aeden Teschendorf, Brenna Teschendorf, Clark Brady Briggs, and Eli Briggs; his brothers, Lee (Christine) Teschendorf and Alan (Sharon) Teschendorf; several beloved nieces and nephews; and his uncle, August (Joan) Teschendorf. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 6, at Hanlin Funeral Home in Vassar. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Thumb Branch Chapter of Pheasants Forever. 

Dale will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and his years of hard work.
