Jennifer Damm, age 37, and Kendyn Renee Damm, age 8, both of
Riverton, Il. passed away Tuesday morning (January 6, 2026) in
Springfield, Il.
Jennifer was born April 13, 1988 in
Springfield, Il. daughter of the late Kenneth Eugene and Traci Kay Bettis Damm.
Surviving is her mother Traci of
Virden, Il.; brothers, Cory Damm (Megan) of
Raymond, Il. and Brady Rhodes (Nicole) of
Virden, Il. ; a sister, Brittany Dunn (Shane) of
Chesterfield, Il.; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Damm, Sr.; her treasured nieces and nephews, Haelee Damm (Luke Webb), Oakleigh Dunn, Waylon Dunn, Blake Picotte, and Triniti Rhodes; along with her many aunts, uncles, cousins, her soon to be in-laws; and so many valuable friends who were more like family.
Jennifer was a devoted mother, aunt, sister, daughter and friend. To be loved by her was pure and fierce. She took care of everyone from bringing snacks to all the kids sporting events, to planning all the gatherings. She was full of love, personality, and vivaciousness.
Jennifer was joined that day in heaven with the light of her life, her daughter Kendyn Renee Damm. Kendyn was born March 14, 2017, in
Springfield, Il.
Kendyn is survived by her father and "fishing buddy" Jordan Bacon and his wife Kim of Palmyra, Il.; paternal grandparents, Brad and Tracy Bacon of Palmyra, Il.; her maternal grandmother Traci and all of Jennifer's family; a paternal great-grandmother, Judy Bacon of Palmyra, Il.; a bonus grandmother, Stefani Pruett; her two bonus sisters, Aurora and Gabryella Wills; her aunt Brooke Gutmann (Randy) of
Lincoln, Il and their children, Indy, Ryatt, and Ivy; as well as several other aunts, uncles, and cousins and bonus aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kendyn was a third grader at North Mac Intermediate School in
Girard, Il. Kendyn enjoyed hanging out with her friends, playing sports, and catching "big" fish with her dad.
These beautiful girls are also survived by the love of Jen's life and Kendyn's best bud Daniel Graves of
Riverton, Il. The three of them were set to make their family official on September 19, 2026, at their new home in Riverton.
Preceding the girls in death were Jennifer's father and Kendyn's grandfather Kenneth Eugene Damm; Jennifer's grandparents and Kendyn's great-grandparents, Donald and Sandra Bettis and Alberta Damm; Kendyn's great-grandpa Carrol Keith Bacon; and bonus great-grandmother, Malinda Lewis.
A Celebration of Jennifer's and Kendyn's Life will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday (January 14, 2026) at The Roads Church, 19453 Hurricane Dr.
Carlinville, Il. 62626. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to JK Damm Memorial and sent to Neece Funeral Home, 349 E. Tanner,
