Dana Mariea Craig, age 56, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Born January 15, 1969, in Gary, Indiana, she had been a Shelby resident for over 35 years, moving from Florida.

A 1988 graduate of Rutherford High School in Panama City, Florida, Dana was employed by MTD (Stanley Black & Decker) in Shelby for 31 years before her retirement in 2022. A master of Italian cuisine, she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She adored her children and grandchildren. She especially loved watching her son during his Friday night's Shelby Whippet football games and her daughter during her dance and theater performances. Dana had a huge heart and was a great friend to many. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Burdell "Rusty" Shock, whom she wed August 4, 2022; three children, Ambreia Craig of Cincinnati, Brennon Shock of Shelby and Becky (Hayden) Green of Bucyrus; two granddaughters, Savannah and Aubrey Green; brother Brian (Lisa) Allee of Florida; sister Missy Allee of Toledo; cousin Jim (Dawn) Winebrenner; two dogs, Nova and Miley and a cat, Tiger Lily; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Austin Charles Craig, her beloved Aunt Kathy, her mother-in-law whom she adored, Sue Montgomery and a grandmother who helped raise her.

A celebration to Dana's life will be held at a later date.
