Mrs. Dana Rhea Lang, age 63, of Okolona, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at home with her family by her side. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 30, 1961, to the late James Callahan and Alice Callahan. Dana was a loving wife, mom, mawmaw, sister, and friend. Her family was the center of her universe. She retired from Our Lady of Peace after 25 years, where she worked as a devoted caretaker. She radiated happiness, kindness, and compassion, touching the lives of everyone around her. Whether it was lending a helping hand, offering a listening ear, or simply showing up when it mattered most, Dana never hesitated to put others first. She enjoyed watching TV, reading magazines, swimming, playing cards and dice, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She found joy in the simple things in life. She brought light, laughter, and warmth to every moment. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Dana was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Ciarra Cox and sister, Ava Callahan.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Darrell Lang; children, Darrell Lang Jr. (Tara), Dennis Lang (Rebecca), and Danielle Mivelaz (Corey); stepdaughter, Melanie Warrick (Kevin); grandchildren, Morgan, Noah, Ava, Eli, Lily, Sadie, and Isaiah; siblings, James, Rita, Debbie, Richie, and Donna; along with many other family and friends.
Memorial Service will be conducted on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). The visitation will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. www.subfuneralhome.com
