Dan was a wonderful neighbor always so kind, loving and neighborly! I´ve grown up with Dan since I was 3 or 4 always had goodies for the kids in the neighborhood even continued to nieces and nephews so sorry to hear of his passing we will greatly miss his porch sitting evenings and suckers for the kiddos

Heaven gained another angel, you´ll be missed. I loved our daily porch hangouts in the summer time & all the things we would talk about! You were a wonderful friend and neighbor. You were so kind to everyone. I´ll never forget you

What a wonderful man Dan was. He has been our neighbor for the past 30 years, had a close relationship with my dad, myself as well as my children. I remember as a child, anytime Dan caught us outside he´d go to his van and grab my sister and I a sucker. He did the same thing with my children. Dan was a very kind man who didn´t know a stranger and always had a lot to say. The past couple of summers consisted of Dan visiting us to talk to my dad when he´d catch him outside and his presence will truly be missed. God has gained a true angel!

Well, 2024 begins a little less bright without Dan. He was the only neighbor on my street I ever even knew or talked to. He became sort of like an adopted grandpa to me. He loved porch sitting and watching the rabbits and making conversation with those around him, just like my grandpa did. He always "looked after my house" when I was away on on my travels and noticed right away when my previous cat had passed b/c he didn't see him "watching him" from the window...We shared many talks where he told me about his time in the army and about his time as a pilot. He lived a long life and impacted many people. And, even at 92 he would wheel my garbage can back to my house on garbage days I didn't get it before I left in the morning! He loved any and all sweet treats/meals I brought him and was very kind and generous. He was the smile I loved seeing the past 18 years! He will be greatly missed!
"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May hsi soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen."

Mike, I'm so sorry for your loss. Uncle Danny has been there for you your whole life, he was like a second father when you were growing up. He will be in your heart forever and when you think about him, smile and know he's looking down on you and wants nothing but the best for you. Michele Smith
