Daniel Ficorelli at the age of 70, of Cadillac, MI, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Denise; his parents, Peter and Margaret; his children, Darin (Angela) and Liz (Eric) Bidoul; and his four grandchildren, Lily, Maddie, Theo, and Miles. Dan is also survived by his siblings, Nick (Joan), Pat, Tom (Patty), Gary (Sharon), and Gina (Kent) Dickerson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Dan grew up in East Detroit, MI and graduated from Austin High School. He worked alongside his father at Northeast Realty as a realtor for many years before becoming a real estate appraiser.
Dan had many hobbies including hockey, golf and fishing and enjoyed music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He spent years camping and going to the family cottage in Gaylord, MI.
He was an avid hockey player, playing from the age of five until he was 65, and was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Red Wings. He spent his Michigan summers golfing and fishing. Dan enjoyed traveling the world with his favorite places being Italy and Aruba. Dan loved music and going to concerts.
Retiring at age 65 at our lake house in Cadillac brought him much joy. He enjoyed going for evening boat rides with his cigars and bourbon. He loved hosting guests, his favorite being his grandchildren.
Dan was an active member of Guardian Angels Church in Clawson, MI and St Anns Church in Cadillac, MI. Dan lived a full life and will be missed dearly.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, from 4-8PM and on Thursday, January 9, from 4-8PM with Vigil Service at 7PM on Thursday at A.J. Desmond & Sons 2600 Crooks Rd. Troy (248) 362-2500.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 10, at 10AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church 581 E Fourteen Mile Rd, Clawson.
A livestream of the mass will be available from the church website.
Final resting place Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp.
In lieu of flowers memorial tributes suggested to Hospice of Michigan, or Camp Sancta Maria of Gaylord, MI, or charity of choice.
