Farmington - Daniel J. Hamilton, age 58, passed away at home surrounded by family, on Sunday, March 31, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Karen Hamilton; six children, Brian Hamilton, Cynthia Hamilton, Jonathan Hamilton, Stephen Hamilton, Timothy Duffy III, Michael Duffy; mother, Helen Dano; four siblings, Richard Cook, Brenda Hamilton Fair, Thomas Hamilton, Michael Dano; several grandchildren including Noah Ridgley, Sebastian Hamilton, Victoria Ridgely, Tylor Ridgley and Benjamin Hamilton; and many others he considered family.
Daniel was born in Newark and was the son of Helen Dano. He attended high school in Naples but moved to Florida when he was 16, finishing school there. Danny was described as a person who was a role model. He was strong, gentle, and loving. He was a wholehearted person who put his all into his many projects. Carpenter by trade, he loved to build what was in his mind for himself whether that be his greenhouse, garden, tables, shelves, and many more countless projects. Daniel was a fisherman by heart, loved the water, and loved to be on it doing what he loved best - with his line in the water. He was an outdoorsman who wanted to be adventurous and loved going to state parks with his family.
His memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, at 1 pm, at Calvary Chapel Finger Lakes, 1777 Rochester Rd., Farmington. A larger celebration of life will be held sometime in the summer. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Canandaigua.
