Daniel Lee Hesselgrave

Daniel Lee Hesselgrave passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025. He was born in Superior Wisconsin on March 20, 1962.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Linda Hesselgrave. He is also survived by his brother Bill, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard Hesselgrave and Viola; and siblings, Dorothy, Linda, and Baby Howard.
Dan loved building models, woodworking, animals (strays and all), working on cars, exploring different religions, he was the prankster of all pranksters and loved to see others laugh. He was always quick to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
When in high school, Dan was a very good wrestler. Dan started working at 26 years old for Clyde Iron Works in Duluth Minnesota and continued for 37 years through many iterations of that company until present under the name National Oilwell Varco. During those years he worked in Duluth, Pennsylvania, St Paul MN, Houston TX and ended up in Covington LA. Dan had a short break in those years when he went to work two years for Acme Machine and Welding LLC in Covington LA.
He will be sadly missed and loved by all who knew him.
One of Dan's last wishes was that he wants us all to keep on laughing.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Daniel may be made to Tunnels to Towers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at E.J. Fielding funeral home 2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday May 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
As per Dan's wishes his ashes will be placed in his hometown of Superior Wisconsin with the date to be determined later.
