Born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 21, 1968, he was the son of Patricia Helsley and James Hoffman.
Daniel graduated from Mars High School in 1987 where he excelled in athletics. He was an Edinboro University graduate and a member of the baseball team. After college, Daniel worked as a social worker for Pressley Ridge and Holy Family Institute. Daniel also worked in the electrical and flooring trades.
Surviving are his children Matthew and Danielle, mother, Patricia Helsley of Vandergrift, his father, James Hoffman of Emlenton, a brother, Brian Hoffman (Angie) of Mars, a nephew (Carson Hoffman), a niece (Camden Hoffman) and a sister, Shannon Hoffert (Justin) in Frankfurt Germany.
Arrangements are private under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA and condolences are available at www.mdonald-aeberli.com.
