Daniel Harold Miller, 86, of Washington Court House, died Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 5:30 a.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home where he had been a resident since April 19, 2019.
Dan was born January 24, 1939, in Jeffersonville, Ohio to Russell Revella and Mary Katherine Lyons Miller. He was a graduate of Washington High School; attended Ohio University and was a lifelong resident of this community.
Before his retirement, he was owner and operator of Miller Foods, a business his father founded in1937.
Dan was a member of the Fayette Lodge F. & A.M. #107 and the former McNair Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Anthony Dion Costa.
Dan is survived by a son, Daniel H. Miller, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; a daughter, Monique Renee Miller of Bakersfield, CA; three grandchildren, Deveney Katherine Miller and her husband, Tony Black, Noah Reed Miller and Micah Suarez Miller; a great grandson, Josiah Miller; a sister, Betsy K. Costa and her husband, Frank, of Boca Raton, FL and a nephew, Joshua Deacon Costa and a great niece and great nephew, Ariana and Michael Costa.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation took place and a graveside service will be held at a later date in the Washington Cemetery under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
