Daniel Petrecca Obituary
Dan was the beloved husband of 55 years to the late Joyce Ottinger Petrecca. He is survived by his loving daughter Joy Rizzo and her husband Don of Doylestown, PA, his granddaughter Gina Rizzo, his dear friend Ray Schmidt, and his son Daniel S. Petrecca III. Also, he is survived by his brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graduate of Morrisville High School and Thomas Edison State University, Dan was a microbiologist before changing careers and becoming a business man where he managed, owned, and consulted primarily in the communications industry.
Dan was a huge New York Yankees fan and an expert skier. He also enjoyed boating, waterskiing, snowmobiling, football, music, and spending quality time with family and friends, but hunting with his father and best friends was Dan's true passion. Also a car buff, Dan owned and raced several muscle cars and Corvettes.
People who knew Dan always said, He's such a great man!" Dan was kind, gentle, caring, and easy-going. He had a very close relationship with his daughter, Joy, and cherished the adventures he shared with his granddaughter, Gina.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday Evening, April 3, 2025 from 6:00pm until a sharing of remembrances at 7:30pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 526 North Street Jim Thorpe, PA 18229 on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 10:30AM. His interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Women's Animal Center, 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
