Daniel Pilgrim, 37, a teacher for the Choctaw Tribal Schools, died on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at his home.
Memorial Services will be held at a later time.
Daniel was a native of Leake County and of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include: parents; Eddie and Terry Pilgrim, of Carthage, Ms; Maternal Grandparents; Tommy and Margaret Thompson of Carthage, Ms, Paternal Grandmother; Delois Pilgrim of Carthage, Ms, brothers; Trenton and Jeremy (Katie) Pilgrim of Carthage, Ms.
Preceded in death by: Maternal Grandmother; Helen Thompson, and Paternal Grandfather Jack Pilgrim.

Daniel always had a smile and always made sure he spoke no matter where he saw me at. Everytime he came to Bogue Chitto Elementary he would hit that note "I'm sorry Mrs. Jackson". Loved hearing it every time. Now when I hear that song, I think of him.

When Daniel would come get the students in my class to take to the mobile bus, they were always ready to go with him. We will miss Daniel and his great since of humor. Deepest condolences to his family, you are in my prayers.
