Daniel Lee Qualkenbush of Sweetwater Tennessee passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2024 at the age of 52. He was born in Dearborn Heights, Michigan to Donald and Sherelyn Qualkenbush. He was the youngest of the family joining his older brothers Tom, Joe and his sister Chris "Sissy". Early in life his family moved to Plymouth Michigan where he began raising a family of his own.
Our family was not expecting for Dan's life to be cut so short, so soon. We are all devastated by this huge loss, and he will forever be missed. He was born with an amazing sense of humor and wittiness that was shared with everyone. He was a family man with a heart of gold and a friend to everyone he met.
Twelve years ago, he met his soulmate, Carrie, and they had been married for nine years. His four children; Justin, Kyle, Holly and Donny were his pride and joy. He adored his four grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of two more. Dan loved spending time with his family camping, bowling, golfing, game nights, poker, cookouts, family reunions, fishing, and travel. Dan and Carrie loved living the farm life.
After a long career working with his brother Joe and at Q Enterprise in Michigan, he and his wife moved to Tennessee. He joined his brother Tom, creating Q Enterprise of Tennessee. For seven years Q Enterprise flourished and included the addition of his son, Kyle. Through Q Enterprise, he met hundreds of customers who quickly became friends. His fast, smart-aleck humor and one-of-a-kind personality truly made him special, and he will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents Jane and Harold Qualkenbush and Elaine and Vincent Olack as well as Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A celebration of life service will be conducted on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, with Father: John Dowling officiating.
