Daniel Joseph Stokes, 40, of Summerville, passed away, Saturday, January 29, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born August 3, 1981 in Columbia, SC.
Daniel was reared in Blythewood. He graduated from Ridgeview high school.
He had a career in real estate in the tri-county area. He took great pleasure in finding the perfect home for his clients. At his time of death he was employed by Family First Funding, LLC. He worked diligently to see his clients had ease in attaining their mortgage. He enjoyed his work with his team members.
Daniel enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, and exploring. He had a curiosity for the pirates of the past. Saturdays in the fall were all about Gamecock football!
He was a man of strong determination and strong work ethic. Daniel loved and supported his family. He always wanted to do the right thing for his family and friends. Always inquiring of one well being no matter the situation. His smile made the room brighter when he entered. His hugs were the best.
He was predeceased by his father Clyde William Brickle, Jr.
He is survived by his loving parents Mark and Karen Stokes of Summerville. He is also survived by two brothers Billy Brickle of Greenville, and Palmer Stokes (Alison) of Johns Island, nephew Dixon Stokes., special friend, Raelyn Eldred, and extended family.
He had a daughter Caitlynn Stokes of Charleston.
Memorials can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Ovarian Cancer at www.donate3.cancer.org., or the charity of one's choice.
He was laid to rest at Dorchester Memory Gardens.
