Daniel Tucci

Daniel Tucci, 89, of North Heidelberg Township, passed away March 25, 2024, at the Reading Hospital.
He was the loving husband of Joan A (Sirak) Tucci.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Alfonso and Angelina (Mascotti) Tucci.
Daniel was a graduate of Reading High School and Kutztown State College, where he earned a bachelor of Science degree in Education.
Daniel served our nation proudly and valiantly in the US Army.
For more than three decades, he served as a Social Studies teacher at Reading High School before retiring in 1995. He also served as the President of the Reading Education Association. Following his retirement, he went on to work at Reading Area Community College, continuing to contribute his expertise and knowledge in the field of education and molding the minds of his students.
Daniel cherished the time spent on the golf course, honing his skills and enjoying the outdoors. The thrill of playing cards with friends added a competitive edge to his leisure time. However, his true passion lay in the classroom, where he found fulfillment in sharing his expertise and guiding his students towards success.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three siblings: Nicholas, husband of Pat Tucci, Pauline Shine, and Josephine Alfiero; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four siblings: Umberto Tucci, Angelo Tucci, Rose Tucci; and Geremia Tucci.
A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
