Daniel L. Turner

Daniel L. Turner joined his wife Freda and son Michael in Heaven on May 29th, 2022. He was a devoted husband, father of two and loving grandfather and friend to all who knew him. Daniel was born in Stillwater on July 26th, 1938 to Reuben and Gladys Turner. After graduating Stillwater High School, he joined the United States Army and had a four year tour of duty in Europe and Africa. Upon returning to Stillwater, he attended OSU and met the love of his life, Freda. Daniel married Freda on May 24th, 1964 in Tryon, Oklahoma and was very proud of their recent 57th wedding anniversary. Together, they raised two sons, Michael and Jeffery. Daniel retired from CREC as a central dispatcher and began his passion of restoring and showing classic trucks. Over the years, he received many trophies and often won best in show with his blue and white 1972 GMC truck. He was a member of the Cimarron Starlite Cruisers Car Club and assisted with the Perkins Car Show for many years. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife Freda, his son Michael. He is lovingly remembered by his son Jeffery and daughter in law Brandilyn, four grandchildren Brittany, Madison, Megan and Zo, and great-granddaughter Evelynn and the many friends he has made throughout the years.
