Daniel G. Weiland

Daniel G. Weiland, age 61, passed away peacefully at his favorite spot, his land on Thursday, April 18, 2024. He was born on December 18, 1962, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, the son of Ronald and Magdalene (Kaiser) Weiland.
Memorial Services for Dan will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Christian Life Fellowship in Port Edwards. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the church on Friday.
Dan graduated from Marshfield High School in 1981. He married Barbara Sternweis on August 4, 1984. Dan worked for Mariani Packing Company at the time of his retirement in 2022.
Dan was a lover of the outdoors, his land in the town of Port Edwards was his favorite place to be, he loved spending time with his family and friends especially his grandson Reed, he was looking forward to building a cabin on the land later this year. He was very involved in land conservation; He constructed deer habitats on his land. He also enjoyed fishing, wood cutting, hunting, and gardening, he took pride in his yard and his home.
Dan will be deeply missed by his family and friends, including his wife of 39 years Barbara; his son, Eric (Tanya) Weiland, his pride and joy, his grandson, Reed Daniel Weiland, his mother, Maggie Newmier; his sister, Christine Weiland; his brothers-in-law, Michael (Dawn Bloom) Sternweis, Dennis Sternweis and Douglas (Chimene) Sternweis; sister-in-law, Jayne Mueller-Sternweis, his step mother, Lynn (Kevin) Weiland O'Shasky; step-sister, Jennifer LeClaire; step-brother, Tom (Lydia) LeClaire; his father-in-law, Aloysius Sternweis. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Weiland, mother-in-law, Arlene Sternweis, and by his brother-in-law, Jerome Sternweis
Memorials may be made in Dan's name for a fund to be established at a later date.
