Danny Brumfield Obituary

Born August 3, 1946, in Bartholomew County, he was the son of the late Kenneth "Pete and Anna Louise (Staples) Brumfield.
Danny was a 1964 graduate of Columbus East High School and served in the United States Air Force. He worked as an engineer for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus for 44 years before retiring in 2014. Danny was a member of the Am Vet's Post #7, Eagles Lodge, Moose Lodge and Matt Hester Post #2021 V.F.W., all in North Vernon and the American Legion in Madison. He enjoyed golfing, riding motorcycles and was an enduro racer.
Survivors include his companion, Vicki Spencer of North Vernon; his daughter, Naudia (Robert) Curry of Lizton; brother, Bobby Brumfield of Columbus; and sister, Jeanie Nanny of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Brumfield.
In keeping with his and his family's wishes cremation is planned with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials in honor of Danny may be made through the funeral home to Am Vet's Post #7 in North Vernon.

So sorry to hear of Danny passing. I called him today to wish him a happy birthday, but no answer. We started our friendship in 1994. He was at Cummins, Rocky Mount and I was a project engineer at Lamb. we worked together for many years and had a great friendship. God speed my friend.
