Danny William Gregory, age 70, of Lodi went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
Danny was born on September 12, 1954, in Muncie, Indiana to Vernon and Coy (Golden) Gregory. Danny was preceded in death by his parents.
He married his true love, Yvonna Jones on June 25, 1977. They had two beautiful daughters, that he was so proud of and loved with his whole being. Danny loved to joke around and play pranks at every given chance. He could make you believe anything and laughed so loud when he made you believe him. Danny was an avid turkey hunter and fisherman and often said he would rather turkey hunt than eat. He loved the outdoors. He always liked grappling catfish (only in season of course). He also put a lot of pride and work in his garden and loved sharing his vegetables when his health would allow.
Danny is survived by his wife of 47 years, Yvonna Gregory, and his two beautiful daughters, who were the love of his life. Ginger Jenkins (TJ), Becky Walker (Eric). Four grandchildren, Ashley Jenkins Pumphrey, Andrew Pumphrey, Ethan Walker, Austin Walker, and Avery Jenkins. Two great-granddaughters, Henslee Pumphrey and Holly Walker. Four nephews, Tim, Howard, Robert, and David, of whom he put up to a lot of mischief and thought the world of. He also leaves many other nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends to remember his unexpected antics and his sister, Betty Gregory Shelby who was always there for him and was the receiver of many of his pranks.
Danny's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
The Pallbearers are Ethan Walker, Austin Walker, Avery Jenkins, TJ Jenkins, Eric Walker, and Devin Jester.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood with David Walker and Ronnie White officiating.
