Danny Colter, or "Big Dan" as he was lovingly known around Clarksburg, passed away from this life on Monday, August 11, at the age of 61.
Danny's greatest pride in life was his sons, Danny James (Misty) Colter and Ben (Nicole) Colter. He also leaves behind grandchildren Landon, Makenlee, Sunshine, Kyle, and Kayleigh.
Danny was loved by many family members, both those surviving and those who preceded him in death, including Garrett, Judy, Dave, Vickie, Rose, Billy, Eddy, Gabby, Abby, Ralph, Patty, Jerry, Ed, Sam, Harry, Nance, Tom, Jamie, Bobby, and Bib.
Danny spent his life in the place he loved the most, Clarksburg. He was the life of the party and made sure anyone around him walked away with fun memories and stories to tell. If you spent any time with him in earlier years, odds are you knew exactly where on Brown Road to drop him off at the end of the night. He loved to wheel and deal, spend time with friends, and reminisce about the good times.
Big Dan's big personality and ornery antics will forever be remembered, and he will be dearly missed as a dad, Pap, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
A funeral service for Danny will be held at 1pm on Thursday, August 14, 2025, in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Brown’s Chapel Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with Danny’s family at the funeral home on Thursday from 11am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist Danny’s family with funeral expenses. Online donations can be made using the link below.
