William Daniel “Danny” or “Dunk” Duncan, 70, retired truck driver for Martin Transportation Systems, and resident of Columbia, died Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Life Care Center of Columbia.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born November 30, 1953 in Columbia, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Marvin Alton “Bill” Duncan and the late Sara Frances Tice Duncan. Danny married Tracy Lynn Shank Duncan on June 17, 2008. Danny was an animal lover and a semi and motorcycle enthusiast, he especially loved riding his Harley. He enjoyed listening to music and his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Danny was a member of West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Josh (Ginger) and Zackaria; grandchildren, Sebastian “Sebo”, Riley “Squirrel Head”, and Cash; sister, Connie Lynn (Allen) Lentz; niece and nephew, Crystal (Kirk) Butler, and Wesley (Kali) Lentz; great nieces and nephews, Norah Butler, Kate Butler, Eli Lentz, Liam Lentz; and all his friends whom he loved like family.
