Danny Shane Myers, age 47, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Atrium Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Shane was born July 28, 1977, in Wilkes County, to Danny Ray & LaVerne Ayers Myers.
He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Shane loved animals, playing basketball, collecting baseball cards and competing in truck stereo competitions.
Shane was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Delton and Estelle Ayers, his paternal grandfather, John Quincy Myers and two uncles, Stephen Ayers and Dwyaine Ayers.
Survivors include his parents, Danny & LaVerne Myers; grandmother, Leona Myers, aunts and uncle, Sue Hamby, Sandra & Randy Pennell, Ann Ayers, Wanda Ayers; special cousin & “His Little Girl” Ivy Baker and numerous other cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church Building Fund, 1120 Austin Little Mountain Road, Ronda, NC 28670.
