The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Rehoboth Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will take place following the service at Martin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the church.
Born in Williamston, Danny was a lifelong resident of the Bear Grass community and had attended Bear Grass School. He established a career as an insurance agent for Woodmen of the World and most recently with Allstate. He was a proud member of the Rehoboth Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years and loved to fish.
Danny was preceded in death by his late parents, Cecil & Betty Scott; brothers, Jackie, Gary, and Phillip Scott; and sister, Joan Bland.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Ann Scott; son, Edward "Country" Scott & wife, Tina; daughter, Danyell Scott & significant other, Chad Williams; granddaughters, Sabrina Smith & Philip, Sierra Scott, and Savana Scott; great-granddaughter, Serena Smith; brother, Larry Scott & wife, Linda; and sister, Tammy Hollis & husband, Harold "Shotgun".
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott Fund at Rehoboth Pentecostal Holiness Church, 7611 Bear Grass Road, Williamston, NC 27892.
Arrangements are by Wilkerson Funeral Home.
