Danona M. Ferreira, 70, of Westfield, Indiana & Scottsdale, Arizona passed away Friday, October 10, 2025. She was born June 28, 1955, in Morningside, Maryland, on Andrews Air Force Base.
Known lovingly as “Noni,” Danona was the matriarch & heart of her family. She had a gift for nurturing — whether it was the plants in her garden, her children and grandchildren, or anyone lucky enough to be in her care. She loved tending to her garden & plants, cheering from the sidelines at her grandchildren’s soccer games, and spending time with “just the girls.”
Beneath her tough exterior was a fiercely loyal and generous soul who showed love through action — always making sure her family had what they needed. Her presence, her humor, and her care will be deeply missed but forever felt in the love she instilled in those around her.
Danona is survived by her husband, Michael; her children, Michael J. (Brittany) Ferreira and Tierney (Jamie Bradley) Lara; and her grandchildren, Liam Lara, Berkley Lara, Bella Ferreira, and Lucy Ferreira. She is also survived by her sister, Rose Fazekas, and brother, Charles Keiser.
Private family services are planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Stroke Association.
