Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral HomeDarla Jo Alford (Hutchens) went home to be with the Lord on November 6, 2025, at the age of 62. She was born on March 5, 1963, in Livermore, California but grew up in Seymour, Texas and then finally settled down in Mineral Wells, Texas where she spent her life surrounded by family, faith, and friends.
Darla was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose heart overflowed with love and compassion. She shared 37 beautiful years with her loving husband, Tony, and together they built a family grounded in faith and unconditional love. She was the proud mother of three children — Tony and his wife Lacie, Clay and his wife Alex, and Samantha.
To her seven grandchildren — Ryan, Austin, Dylan, Zaita, Natalie, Luke, and Zachary — she was “Nana,” a constant source of comfort, joy, and guidance.
Darla had a joyful spirit. She found beauty in life’s simple blessings — whether it was discovering a good bargain at a garage sale, laughing with friends, or caring for those around her. She touched countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and unshakable faith.
She is survived by her husband Tony, her three beloved children, her seven cherished grandchildren, her uncle, Gary Hutchens of Wichita Falls and his wife Dena, and many dear friends whom she loved like family.
Though her earthly journey has ended, Darla’s spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. We take comfort in knowing she has found eternal peace in the arms of her Savior and that we will see her again one day.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2025 at Rock Creek Rd Church.
