Darlene Muriel (Evavold) Akerman passed away May 8, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Darlene was born February 26, 1952 to Arthur and Sarah (Mekalson) Evavold.
She was baptized and confirmed at Grue Lutheran Church of rural Ashby. She had a strong faith her entire life. She was a sincere prayer warrior who lived out her faith and shared her love of God in many different ways.

She was employed at West Central Area Agency on Aging, Minnesota/North Dakota Alzheimer’s Association, and First Lutheran Church of Battle Lake.

Darlene was greatly blessed with a faithful husband, children, and grandchildren of whom she was very proud and loved dearly. She was active at Kvam Free Lutheran Church by teaching Sunday School, served on church council as Secretary and Treasurer, and led Bible study groups.
