Darr Louise Earp, a beacon of kindness and joy, passed away on March 6, 2025, at the age of 66. Born in June, 1958, in Lebanon, Oregon, to Granville (deceased) and Twyla Earp, Darr's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and love for those around her. She departed this world in Albany, Oregon, after a cerebral vascular accident, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, wisdom, and compassion.
Darr's early life in Lebanon was filled with the adventures that shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. She grew alongside her brothers Grant (Joan), Jeff (Darcie), and Charles (Andrea), forming an unbreakable bond that would last a lifetime. Darr's journey led her to become a cherished mother to her daughters, Christina (Justin) and Katie (Justin), and a doting grandmother to Emily (Chase), Ethan, Caitlin, and Elsie. The joy of her family grew with the arrival of her great-grandson, Brantley, who brought a new spark of happiness into her life.
Adding to her loving family, Darr leaves behind fiancé of over 10 years, Kenneth, as well as his daughter Heather (Jessie) and 3 beautiful grandchildren, all of whom she loved as if they were part of her direct lineage.
Professionally, Darr was the epitome of dedication and excellence. Her career spanned several years in executive administration, where she was known for her sharp intellect and delightful sense of humor. She found her passion in working as a Veterinary Practice Manager, combining her love for animals with her administrative prowess. Darr eventually retired from the Oregon Department of Transportation, leaving behind a trail of achievements and friendships.
An avid animal lover, Darr found solace and joy in riding horses, an activity that reflected her free spirit and connection with nature. Her love for animals was only matched by her devotion to her family, with whom she cherished spending time. Whether it was a quiet afternoon or a lively family gathering, Darr's presence was a source of comfort and happiness.
Those who knew Darr will remember her as the embodiment of kindness, always ready with a funny quip or a helping hand. Her intelligence shone through in every aspect of her life, guiding her decisions and interactions with others. Darr's laughter was infectious, her advice invaluable, and her love for her family and friends knew no bounds.
As we bid farewell to Darr Louise Earp, we celebrate the extraordinary life she led and the countless hearts she touched. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Darr's memory will live on as a reminder of the beauty and strength found in a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and the courage to be unapologetically oneself.
A Celebration of Life is planned for this summer. For information please email: [email protected]
