Darryl Kramer

Canandaigua – Darryl (Coleates) Kramer, age 67, passed away at home, on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, George Kramer; son and daughter-in-law, James "Jimmy" (Sara) Kramer; brother, Richard Coleates; and several cousins.
Darryl was born in Canandaigua and was the daughter of Earl and Janet (Canfield) Coleates. She attended Canandaigua schools and was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, class of 1974. Darryl earned a bachelor's degree from St. John Fisher College. She worked as a junior accountant for Ontario County for almost 35 years, retiring in June of 2011. In her retirement, Darryl worked part time at Canandaigua Academy.
She was actively involved in 4-H, Little People of America, Relay For Life and other community groups. Darryl enjoyed painting with acrylics, making windchimes, baking and spending time by the lake with family and friends.
Darryl was a loving wife, mother and friend to everyone she came in contact with. She always made people around her smile with her positivity and outgoing personality.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, August 26, at 1 pm, at First United Methodist Church, 100 N. Main St., Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Canandaigua.
