David Boyd Allen Jr, cherished member of his family, passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 64. He was born on July 28, 1961, in Wheeling, West Virginia. A proud graduate of Washington High School, David lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those dear to him.

David's career as a truck driver was a testament to his hard work and commitment. He often spoke fondly of the roads he traveled, but it was the journey of life spent with his family that brought him true joy. His love for his family was evident in everything he did; he was a big teddy bear at heart, always ready to extend a hand or an ear. Known for his sense of humor, David was the jokester of the family, able to bring a smile to anyone's face with his funny stories and antics. His protective nature made him a steadfast guardian and a source of strength for his loved ones.

In addition to being a devoted family man, David served in the United States Army, where he distinguished himself by his honorable service. This experience deepened his love for his country, and he embraced the values of patriotism throughout his life, sharing his passion for firearms with those around him.

David was known for his intelligence, quick wit, and unparalleled ability to make people feel at ease. He had a remarkable bond with his children: his son, David (Stacey) Allen; his bonus son, Jordan (Stacey) Baldwin; and his daughters, Rachel Walton, Julie Johnson, and Lori (Jimmy) Egner. He adored his grandchildren, cherished moments spent with Xanier, Danika, Taylor, Noah, Mackenzie, Holly, Hunter, Rhea, Ella, Jackson, and Kennedy—a legacy of love that will forever resonate in their hearts.

He is survived by his brother, Mark (Rita) Allen, and sisters, Donna Allen and Rhonda (Jeff) Morris, who will remember him for his generous spirit and unwavering loyalty. David was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Christopher; brother, Paul Allen; daughter, Rebecca Allen; and his parents, Patricia Jenkins Allen and David Boyd Allen Sr.

As we reflect on David's life, we are reminded of the many joyful memories and the profound impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in the laughter of his family, the stories shared, and the love that surrounds them. David Boyd Allen was indeed one of a kind, and he will be deeply missed.
