There are no two humans created equally but on this day I dare to state that as I watched the funeral of Jimmy Carter, David had so many of his characteristics.

Dave was a man small in stature, mighty in faith and his walk with The Lord. He spoke quietly yet his words were meaningful, poignant, and vibrant.

I had the pleasure to work with Dave, as I called him, for well over 30 years. In conversation pertaining to work he was always serious and he would carefully think over every word before stating his opinion which made it so much more pleasurably at times get a laugh out of Dave.

He was no nonsense but always willing to lend an ear to conversation. More than anything Dave humbly went about his daily routine not realizing that he was a beacon of light to so many in this lost world.

I am so blessed in knowing I can call Dave a friend and just like Jimmy Carter, Dave was a servant and wished no great fanfare but the memory of this quiet, powerful Christian man embossed a legacy that cannot be erased.

May he rest in Eternal peace.

Matthew 25:21
