David Bruce Besser peacefully went home to be with his Heavenly Father at home on August 6th, 2025. Born September 28, 1958 in Muncie, Indiana, he is the son of the late Eddie L. and Norma Lee (Lambert) Besser. David married his childhood sweetheart, Bonnie Jean Wright, on May 26, 1979 and spent 46 wonderful years together.
David graduated from Wes-Del High School in 1977. While at Wes-Del, he participated in Student Council, Honor Society, track, football, basketball and baseball. In 1979, David and Bonnie moved to Orlando, Florida for ten years where they ran a concrete finishing business together. They moved back to Indiana to be closer to family and David began a 26-year career at R & L Carriers until he retired in 2021. He served as a Deacon at Prairie Grove Church for years. David loved his grandkids, nieces, and nephews the same as his own boys.
David enjoyed visiting the Kentucky Derby for years with Jamie Whittaker. He loved to fish and took several Salmon fishing trips to Michigan with Rick Bailey. David had a creative soul; he was a painter and dabbled in making custom knives and hand sewn sheaths.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Norma Lee Besser and Eddie L. Besser.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie and his 2 children; Josh and wife, Katie Besser and grandchildren Carson and Sydney; Jacob and fiancé, Marijayne and grandchildren, Logan Besser, Vivian and Niomi; also, their beloved dog Sugar.
