Eve Danielle Besser, "Savvy", 45, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on February 9, 2025.
Born in Melrose Park, Eve attended Addison Trail High School and graduated from Glenbard East High School before going straight into the military. She served eight years and was sent to Border Patrol in South Korea and also helped build schools in Belize with carpentry and masonry work.
Eve studied Early Childhood Education at the College of DuPage and ran several daycares in DuPage and Kane County. She also raised many cats (had nine at her last residence in DeKalb). Eve had a childlike innocent nature of her own. She was a huge 21 Pilots fan and took her little sister to many rock concerts when they were growing up, including Nine Inch Nails and Metallica.
Eve had recently achieved sixty days of sobriety and was doing everything right to reclaim her life when she passed due to what appeared to be natural causes.
Loving mother of Chloe Rayne (Kianna) Besser, Belize "Bella" aka "Rachel" Noelle Jones, and Ziggy James Thorn. Cherished daughter of Mack James Besser II and Carol Ann Besser (nee Chambers) of St. Petersburg, Florida. Dear sister of Camille Alyssa Besser and the late Mack J. Besser, III. Lifelong friend of Maura Butvilas (Joel) Irizarry.
The family has chosen a private viewing and cremation.
A celebration of Eve's life is being planned. Please check back to this website for information as it becomes available.
